Marion County officials continue to work with local and state groups on a proposed sanitary sewer project for the Attica/Pershing area. Cory Frank is county Environmental Public Health Director. He says funding for the project will come from a variety of sources, including I-Jobs stimulus money, loans and block grants. He says there’s a December 1st deadline for the county to apply for a state-revolving fund, with rural development funding deadline next year. This week the county addressed preliminary engineering services being conducted in the area for a project, which would revamp residents’ separate sewer and water systems.
