Early season woes hurt the Pella Chistian girls in their loss at PCM Monday night. After the game coach Kevin Van Maanen was frustrated and said they just needed more time to practice together to work on fixing some of those timing mistakes and indecisiveness. Following that loss Monday the Eagles were able to get that time as they don’t play until Tuesday giving them a full week to practice. Van Maanen says hey took Wednesday and Thursday off for Thanksgiving, but were back in teh gym yesterday as well as today and Monday trying to get ready for South Tama. He says the girls have worked hard the past couple practices and he’s seen improvements. He says one thing they’re working on is slowing down their offense a bit to cut down on turnovers until the girls are more comfortable.
