The Pella Christian boys cross country team came into this season with just 10 runners, but Coach Jocelyn Meinders said from the beginning they were 10 very talented and determined runners. They set a goal of making it to state and their hard work paid off as they did qualify for state and placed 6th at last week’s Class 2A sate cross country meet. One great thing about this years team is there’s only one senior, and that has Meinders excited about next season. Devin Veenstra is the lone senior on this years squad. The girls team only loses one senior as well and Meinders says expectations will be set high for next season.
