The Pella Christian girls basketball team starts their season tomorrow night when they host Des Moines Christian. The Eagles lost just three seniors to graduation last year, however two of those three provided a lot of the scoring especially in the post . Coach Kevin Van Maanen says that’s been an area of focus in the pre season is trying to develop strong post play. He says they got off to a bit of a late start due to the extended volleyball season, but notes the girls have worked hard and he likes what he’s seen so far. He says Bekah Posthuma and Jasmin Schelhaas will be two key players for them especially early on.
