After starting the season with a win over Des Moines Christian Friday night, the Pella Christian girls travel to PCM tonight for an early season rivalry. Pella Christian coach Kevin Van Maanen says the Eagles looked good at times in their season opener Friday, but hopes to see continued improvement in tonight’s game. He says they need to sharpen up a few things, take better care of the ball and make better decisions with the ball and just continue to adjust to playing at game speed. Meanwhile it’s the season opener for PCM. The Mustangs have some holes to fill from last season and coach Ben Anderson says they hope to get a good look at several players tonight and see what they can do in game situations and who will fill what roles for them.
