The Pella Christian volleyball team is trying to make the most of their time off between last week’s Regional Final victory and this week’s opening round at the State Tournament. Eagles’ Head Coach John Evenhouse said the team spent some of last week enjoying the victory, but also got in a competitive scrimmage with Pella High School – who will also be playing in Cedar Rapids this week. Evenhouse adds that the team will continue to work at the fundamentals of the game this week and hopefully be ready for top-seeded Mount Vernon in the first round. Pella Christian plays at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
