A Pella man was charged with domestic abuse assault with a weapon on Tuesday, following a domestic altercation at a residence in the southern part of Pella Tuesday. 71-year-old Robert Lee Toom was taken into custody by Pella Police without incident. Police were able to retrieve the firearm safely and no injuries were reported. A preliminary hearing for Toom was set for December 3rd.
