Work on the reconstruction of the North Overlook beach at Lake Red Rock has been slow moving, thanks to recent wet weather, but the project continues to move forward. All of the concrete and asphalt at the work site has been cleared, along with small trees and brush. John Holt with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says specialized heavy equipment has been brought in for the project, with hopes for earth-moving and the placement of new sand to be complete before winter sets in.
