The day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday, and area retailers and businesses have a variety of items and offers for residents doing their holiday shopping. Pella Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Eischen says shopping local is a great way to find what you need for the holidays without driving long distances, and helps to support the community. Jessie Wilson, executive office coordinator for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, says shopping local helps keep dollars circulating in the community, which benefits both residents and businesses.
