Steph Christner has been hired as Knoxville’s next softball coach. Christner comes armed with a strong resume including leading Eldon Cardinal to back-to-back class one-A state titles in 2003 and 2004 and eighth place finish in 2005. She also is an assistant coach at William Penn. A graduate of Williams Penn she still holds several pitching records including strikeouts in a season and career and wins in a season. Knoxville fans can meet Christner this Sunday at two P-M at the high school. Christner takes over for Jerry Nikkel who stepped down following this past season.
