The theatre department at Central College will present their production of Radium Girls later this week. The play is inspired by a true story, and traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter who paints luminous numbers on clock faces, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees.

Radium Girls will be performed Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Kruidenier Theatre at Central College. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. For ticket information, call 641-628-5335.
