Turn Clocks Back, Change Detector Batteries Today

Daylight Saving Time ended earlier this morning at 2 a.m., and carbon monoxide and smoke detector batteries should be changed today. Both the Knoxville and Pella Fire Departments say as Marion County residents set their clocks back one hour this morning, they should also get in the habit of always changing their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors twice a year at the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time.
