Volunteers are needed to help ring bells and help the needy this season for the Salvation Army. Knoxville Salvation Army organizer Merna Furney says last year a record $25,154.86 was raised for the Salvation Army Bell Ringers. She says 90% of all donations to the Bell Ringers will stay in Marion County to help pay for rent, utilities, school supplies and emergency funds, among many other items.
