Although residents are getting out their lights and wreaths for the holiday season, one of the most frequent fire risks could be sitting on a wax stump: candles. Knoxville Fire Department Chief Mike Roberts says candles are among some of the more common issues the department sees this time of year. He urges residents not to light too many candles in one space or cluster the candles, keep items away from candles when they are burning, and to always be in the house when candles are burning.
