After a 5-0 start to the season in which it seemed nothing could go wrong, the Pella Christian boys basketball team enters the holiday break following a close win over Newton and a loss to their crosstown rival Pella last week. Eagles coach Larry Hessing said throughout those first five games every bounce seemed to go their way, but these last two games that hasn’t been the case and they’ve struggled to stay focused. He says over the holiday break they’ll finally get time to practice and they plan to make the most of it and come out strong in January. Pella Christian is 6-1 overall and second in the Little Hawkeye Conference at 4-1 entering the break.
