An increase in sales and orders will have production employees at Vermeer Corporation returning to full work weeks on Monday, and at least part of the aforementioned increase can be attributed to continued development of Vermeer Corporation’s global presence. Trixana Nichol with Balama Prima Equipment in Beijing, China, says it’s important to realize that as China and other global markets grow so does Vermeer Corporation.

“As the world’s becoming more of a global marketplace, you can’t say ‘the U.S. versus China anymore’,” says Nichol. “Pella, and all of the United States, is directly tied to China, and China is directly tied to the U.S.; so as business is booming in Beijing, China, that will create jobs in Pella, Iowa.”

Balama Prima supplies China’s construction industry with a variety of products, including many made by Vermeer.
