Today is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Sixty eight years ago today the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, drawing the United States into the Pacific Theater in World War II. According to Don Zoutte, AMVETS adjutant, Marion County has at least one Pearl Harbor survivor, Lewis Boers of Pleasantville.
