The Knoxville Fire and Rescue department has new equipment to keep their gear organized. Nearly one month ago, the department received a set of Gear Grid storage racks. The racks provide a clean, spacious and separate space for each member of the department to store their gear. According to Fire Chief, Mike Roberts the department used money they received as memorial donations to purchase the racks. They were able to buy 30 racks for their department members costing a total of $7,200. The racks have been in service at the fire station for just over a week and will be with the department for many years to come.
