The Knoxville Recreation Center has extended open swim and gym times running through early January. That’s according to Brandon Nemmers, program supervisor at the recreation center. He says open swim will be from 1 to 4 p.m., except Christmas Day, but they will be opening back up at 7 a.m. Saturday. The center will also close early at 5 p.m. New Years Eve and remain closed through New Year’s Day, then opening back up January 2nd. Nemmers also says open gym times will remain the same from 5 a.m. to noon then from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
