Spending time with family and friends can be one of the best things about the Holiday season, but it can also create some friction. Kathy VanNorden, Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Pella High School says a lack of sleep and a poor diet combined with other factors can create social flare-ups during the holidays. VanNorden says it’s good to keep in mind that the holidays may not be a good time to try and resolve issues and also encourages higher levels of patience and understanding with family and friends.
