A Pella woman has announced plans to run for the Iowa House of Representatives. In an exclusive conversation with KNIA/KRLS News, Pat Van Zante says she will make her candidacy for State Representative in House District 71 official in the near future. Republican Jim Van Engelenhoven of Pella currently represents District 71 in the Iowa House. Van Zante, who will run as a democrat, is a social services worker with Capstone Behavioral Services.
