As good as the starting five for the Pella girls basketball team is, it is the play of the reserves for the Lady Dutch that may be the biggest reason for the success of the team this season. Post player Kelsey Fynaardt has been a key cog in the Pella winning machine, and may be coming off of her best game of the season in a 55-42 win for the Lady Dutch over Pella Christian. Pella Head Coach Jerod Garland says Fynaardt provides toughness and hustle on the floor; something he says she brings with her to practice as well. In Pella’s win on Friday, Fynaardt had eight points and a team-high eight rebounds, along with two blocked shots.
