The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that roads are snow, slush and ice covered and may be slick and Sheriff Ron Goemaat has enacted the tow ban in Marion County.   State, city, and county snow plows are in operation, and the DOT reports that road conditions may be difficult on Highways 163, 5, 92 and 14. There are reports of multiple vehicles in ditches. The Knoxville and Pleasantville snow ordinances are in effect. The Pella snow ordinance is goes into effect this evening at 6PM. If you must travel please take extra time to get to your destination today, and give our road crews and first responders plenty of room as they work.
