Part of the joy of Christmas is opening gifts and watching others tear into the colorfully-wrapped presents under the tree, but what should you do with all of that wrapping paper? Kathy VanNorden, Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Pella High School says most papers can be neatly folded and recycled – or even re-used next year if the gift is neatly opened. VanNorden says foil gift-wrap can’t be recycled, but can also be re-used; and says there are many varieties of storage totes available that are ideal for saving ribbons and bows to also use next year.
