Freshmen Keith Rush and Holden Blythe each recorded their first collegiate place-finishes as the Central College wrestling team played host to the Central Invitational Saturday. There were no team scores, but it was a full day of wrestling that featured a dozen teama and around 190 total wrestlers in action throughout the day. While coach Eric Van Kley held some of his wrestlers out of action due to some nagging injuries, Rush and Blythe posted 4-1 marks at 184 and 197 pounds, respectively. Joe Atwell was 4-2 at 149 pounds, finishing fourth. Brian Johnson was 3-2 at 197 pounds while Curtis Hobbs posted a 2-2 mark at 149 pounds while Brandon Burrell was 2-2 at 285. The Dutch now have a full week to prepare for the Iowa Conference Duals which will be held at Cornell in Mount Vernon on Saturday. The Dutch meet 14th-ranked Luther at 9 a.m., Loras at 12:30 p.m., Buena Vista at 2:15 p.m. and.10th ranked Cornell at 4 p.m.
