Seniors Loren Liming and Miguel Ley each had big games, and it was just enough for the Central men’s basketball teams to get past Simpson, as the Dutch defeated the Storm 84-80 yesterday in Indianola. Liming had 19 rebounds, matching the third-highest total in school history, to go along with 16 points; while Ley put up 20 points and 6 assists as he continues to climb in the Central record book. He is now fifth in school history with 1,386 career points and fourth in career assists with 278. In all, five players scored in double figures in the winning effort. The victory improves Central’s record to 14-4 overall and 7-2 in the conference, going into Wednesday’s match-up with defending champion Buena Vista.
