Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell spent some time in Pella Friday morning. Boswell was visiting Precision Pulley and Idler, where he met with roughly a dozen employees to listen to their concerns about several issues involving the Federal government; including health care and ways to help manufacturing grow. The workers also discussed Precision Pulley and Idler’s employee stock ownership program and the future of the company.
Following the discussion with employees, Boswell also took time to tour the plant to learn more about the products manufactured by PPI and their position in the global marketplace. Leonard Boswell, a Democrat from Davis City, serves Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
