It’s cookie season in Iowa. The Girl Scouts have officially started their annual cookie sales for 2010. Girls Scouts across the state will take door-to-door orders and conduct Booth Sales at retail locations between now and April 18th. Girl Scout cookie sales are the largest girl-led business in the country and the organization generates more than $700 million for girls and communities nationwide. The money earned goes toward helping those who are less fortunate and supporting both national and local Girl Scout troops. The cookies are $3.50 per package and this year’s eight cookie variety includes Daisy Go Rounds, Caramel deLites, Lemonades and the ever popular Thin Mints.
