A 17 year-old female from Pella has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle for careless driving at 12:45am on Wednesday. An investigation showed that the driver had been involved in an altercation in Knoxville prior to being stopped by the deputy. After obtaining permission, the Sheriff’s deputies searched the vehicle and located marijuana in a cigar case on the passenger side floorboard. The juvenile was taken into custody and later released to her mother.
