Members of the Knoxville Fire Department will be attending a winter fire school in Ames later this month. Chief Mike Roberts says that the school is basically a leadership class that will help the members build leadership skills. While in Ames four of the members will also be taking the Fire One test Saturday evening. Roberts says the test consists of both a physical and written test. He states that he is confident the members will pass the test and once they do they will be nationally certified firefighters.
