The Central men’s basketball team was challenged by a physical Luther squad Saturday evening, but used a 16-2 run in the second half to distance themselves from the Norse and close the door on a 75-61 home win. Central’s Loren Liming dominated both halves at the offensive end, finishing the game with 25 points on 12-17 shooting. He also pulled down 7 rebounds.

The Dutch also got double-digit scoring performances out of their backcourt, with guards Miguel Ley (LAY) and Justin Madsen chipping in 15 and 14 points, respectively. Central shot nearly 52% from the floor in the win, including knocking down 7 of 12 shots from three-point range. The victory gives the Dutch their fourth consecutive win, as they improve to 13-3 overall and 6-1 in the Iowa Conference. Up next for Central is a road trip to Dubuque to face the Duhawks of Loras.
