Two adults from Harvey have been arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on charges of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Iowa State Patrol and the Mid Iowa narcotics Enforcement executed a search warrant at 300 Wise Street in Harvey on Thursday. The search revealed items used to manufacture, use and distribute methamphetamine, such as Coleman fuel, lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine tablets, coffee filters, muriatic acid, plastic tubing, glassware/plasticware with a white powder residue and a convert anhydrous ammonia housing vessel. In addition, the officers located and seized a small amount of prepackaged methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, firearms, ammunition and stolen property. Ricky Lee Maples and Christine Louise Thomas were charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, on going criminal conduct, Possession of Lithium as a precursor for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of pseudoephedrine as a precursor for manufacturing methamphetamine and child endangerment.
