As we told you earlier this week, the Pella boys lead the Little Hawkeye Conference in several statistical categories, one of which is assists with 108. Coach Mark Core says that’s an area they put alot of emphasis on. He says they work alot on making that extra pass, or setting good screens to get someone open for a good shot. He says the guys have really bought into that this season and it shows as they have very balanced scoring and everbody is contributing in one way or another. Pella enters the second portion of the season 5-1 overall with their only loss being a two point loss at Mount Pleasant and they’re tied with Norwalk for the top spot in the LHC at 5-0. Pella plays four games in 10 days out of the holiday break, all at home, starting with Knoxville Tuesday night. You can hear that game live on 92.1 FM KRLS with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema starting with the pre game at 6pm.
