The Pella wrestlers head to a tournament at Williamsburg today with a bit of momentum on their side after a very busy week that saw them wrestle four duels competing in two triangulars, where they were very competitive in each and got a win over Saydel. Coach Joe Burch says there will be some tough competition at the tournament today that will be good challenges for his kids. He says Grinnell, who currently leads the Little Hawkeye Conference, will be one of the tougher teams there as well as Williamsburg, Pekin and more. Burch adds that they’ll be taking the entire varsity team to today’s tournament instead of splitting up and sending several wrestlers to a JV tournament liek they have been recently. He says it’ll be good to see these kids against some tougher competition and hopefully they’ll be able to score a few more team points
