A Pleasantville man has been charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy stopped Matthew Allen Dawson at 1:02am Tuesday for a traffic violation. While speaking with the Dawson, the deputy noticed an odor of marijuana and proceeded to conduct a field sobriety test on him. A follow-up investigation included a search of the vehicle which revealed a small bag of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. Dawson was transported to the Marion County jail.
