Pleasantville Splits With Nodaway Valley

The Pleasantville girls got a victory last night in a makeup game with Nodaway Valley. The Trojanns defense came through again while the offense provided the knockout punch in a 49-28 win over the Wolverines. Coach Trevor Miller says his bench players are getting valuable minutes and taking advantage of their opportunities. He ads girls like Alyssa Luna, Morgan Lauer, and Liz Moore are very important to the team and when they start scoring it opens the game up to his leading scorer Konner Gordon to get open shots. The Pleasantville boys played their sixth game of the season that was decided by three points or less and fell to perennial state power Nodaway Valley 55-53 in double overtime. Pleasantville will come back for another Pride of Iowa Conference double header as Lenox comes to Pleasantville tonight. You can hear the game streamed live on kniakrls.com with Spencer Dirks beginning at 6:15.
