For the optimist out there, Wednesday’s weather forecast includes the warmest high temperature since December 30th. Unfortunately, that high will only reach the middle teens, and will include another round of snow and arctic temperatures on the backside.

State climatologist Harry Hillaker tells KNIA/KRLS news that a brief warm-up is expected to accompany an estimated 3-6 inches of snow in Marion County on Wednesday and into Thursday. Hillaker says the light, dry snow will blow easily in strong winds that will reduce visibility and send temperatures plunging even lower than what we’ve seen so far.
