The Central College men’s and women’s track and field squads captured both pentathlon titles with impressive showings at the Fighting Scott Invitational in Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday. Junior Kurtis Brondyke topped Central’s previous school record by 65 points in the pentathlon, while Central junior Jill Ziskovsky won the women’s heptathlon with a score of 3,174, which qualifies for an NCAA provisional mark. No team scores were kep at the Scott Invitational. The Central College track and field teams will compete next at the UNI-Dome Open this Friday in Cedar Falls.
