The jazz combo “Ashanti” will perform at Central College Friday night. The group features Central College associate professor of music Gabriel Espinosa on bass and vocals, along with legendary Des Moines saxophonist Julius Brooks and jazz guitarist Paul Meyers of New York; and will perform a wide variety of jazz styles with Latin influences.

The event is free and open to the public, however tickets are required and can be obtained at the Information Booth of the Maytag Student Center at Central College, or by calling 641-628-9000. “Ashanti” performs Friday at 9:00 p.m. in Grand Central Station.
