For the third straight game the Knoxville boys played hard, and was doing the things needed to stay in the game with Norwalk. However a 10-0 Warrior run in the third quarter broke the game open as the Panthers fell to the top ranked team in class 3A 62-32 last night. Knoxville was down by just six points at the half and trailed by nine when Norwalk hit back-to-back threes to stretch the lead out to 16, and Knoxville could not get any closer. Coach Brad McWilliams said the plan was to guard the three point shot in the first half…however Norwalk got shots on the perimeter and then when Knoxville came out to guard the outside…the Warriors took advantage of the inside. Blake McWilliams led Knoxville with nine points. The Panthers fall to 4-12 on the season and 3-9 in the conference play.
