The Knoxville girls for the second straight season will play for a spot at the class 3A state tournament tonight. Carlisle is the opponent which is not what Knoxville expected since the Panthers were gearing up for Dallas Center-Grimes. Coach Jim Utiermarkt says the girls will be focused just as they have been the first two games of postseason. He and the coaching staff also has been getting across to the girls that Carlisle, while not the team that they were expecting to play is still a worthy opponent. Utiermarkt says the key is to get off to another good start, but if his team falls behind to not panic.
