The Knoxville girls took down Centerville Saturday night in the class three-A Regional semi-final 61-36. The Panthers built a 15 point halftime lead and blew it open in the second half starting the second session on an 11-0 run to make the score 46-20. Coach Jim Utiermarkt said Knoxville the girls playing their best at the right time. Lacy Stevenson led three Panthers in double figures with 20 points, Sam Abens had 15 and Alex Abens chipped in ten. Knoxville is now 22-1 on the season and will play Carlisle who upset Dallas Center-Grimes on Saturday. The Regional final is tomorrow night at Southeast Polk you can hear the live broadcast on AM 1320 KNIA staring at 6:45.
