The Knoxville girls will play Centerville Saturday night in the class three-A Regional semi-final. The Panthers and Redettes played early in the season with Knoxville winning by 16 points. Coach Jim Utiermarkt says Centerville has one of the better players in the area in Kaylee Merhoff. He adds he likes the matchup with Centerville’s guards versus his. Knoxville’s two/three zone defense on Wednesday caused all kinds of problems for Norwalk’s inside game. Utiermarkt says his team will try to force Centerville to play outside more than inside and hopefully put pressure on the guards.
