After naming a winner each month of last year, Pella Regional Health Center has selected its “Shining Star of the Year” winner for 2009. Nyla Tangen works in Cardiac Services at Pella Regional, and was the hospital’s monthly award winner in January of 2009.

“Shining Star” is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

As part of the honor, Tangen receives an Employee of the Year plaque, a $250 gift and a professional photo displayed in the hospital.
