The Knoxville City Council set a public hearing date to discuss the 2010-2011 city budget at their meeting this week. The board decided on a date of March 8th to present interested citizens with city budget information for the upcoming fiscal year. The council will meet in one final work session Friday afternoon at 3pm to discuss any remaining issues. City Manager Dick Schrad says he is hoping for a good reaction from the community since the city will not be cutting any programs or services, but will still see department savings after some reorganization of positions.
