The effort that the Knoxville girls showed in their first round state tournament game against Waukon showed not only Knoxville fans but many around the state that there is an emerging girl’s basketball program in Knoxville. Coach Jim Utiermarkt wants to see the program grow from the success they had the last two seasons. He adds the girls that are left from the six departing seniors have to do more than just want to be successful…they must put in the time in the offseason.
