The Iowa Department of Education has released their 2008-2009 public high school dropout rates. In Marion County, Knoxville High School has a dropout rate of 1.78% for grades 9-12, while Pella Community High School has a rate of 0%. All high schools in Marion County are below the state average for grades 9-12 which is at 3.15%. Other drop out rates in the county are Melcher-Dallas at 1.57%, North Mahaska at 0%, PCM High School at 1.77%, Twin Cedars at 3.05%, and Pleasantville at 2.03%.
