It’s been a season for the record books so far for the Central College men’s basketball team. Following Saturday’s first-ever Iowa Conference Tournament Championship, the Dutch are 23-4 – which is the new school record for most wins in a season.
That said, the team is far from ready to pack it up and call it good. Senior forward Loren Liming says the team has no intent other than to extend their win total as far is it can go – which Liming says could be as high as 29-4 with a win the national championship game.
Going into Friday’s opening-round match-up with Illinois Wesleyan, the Central men have won ten straight games, which matches the longest winning streak for the team since the 1978-79 season.
