The Knoxville City Council met in special session Monday evening. The council approved a resolution adopting the 2010-11 budget for the city, and approved the distribution of $30,000 to the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce for economic development activities. They also approved easement modifications on the Newbold Drive Sewer Extension Project and in the Knoxville Industrial Park. Alliant Energy and Trees Forever presented a check for $1,200.00 to assist in the development of the new pocket park on the old Coastal Mart Property. The pocket park was designed by former Mayor Harv Sprafka.
