The city of Knoxville is working with Trees Forever and Iowa State University to move forward with their Community Visioning Program. Representatives from both groups held focus groups on Tuesday with senior citizens in Knoxville to find out what transportation enhancements need to be made in the area. Bruce Neidermyer from the Iowa State University landscape and architecture department says the purpose of the focus groups is to provide designs for enhancements along transportation corridors throughout Knoxville that embody the vision of Knoxville citizens. These improvements are funded through the Community Visioning Program by the Iowa Department of Transportation and Trees Forever.
